Riding the Wind: 101

The wind is a slippery beast. You have to jump on, hold tight and ride – but first, the basics.

  1. Always, always, look before you leap. You need to learn to take account of your surroundings, to evaluate the structure of the air swirling around the rocks. Remember the story of Lover’s Leap? When the wind dies down, there is nothing left to ride.
  2. Feel the wind – it is not a static, bored thing but a living, breathing creature of Zeus‘ creation. You must respect it’s power at all times and learn to work with it, not against it.
  3. Remain calm and trust the wind to catch you if it is not yet your time to fall.
  4. Maintain a sense of joy in your actions. Creatures great and small alike wish to ride the wind without wings along with us, but it is a gift Zeus has permitted to the Zephyrus alone.
